As of today, April 17, based on the number of emails and phone calls received, the recall effort is going to proceed.
Two petitions for recall will be filed within the next 2 weeks, so the deadline of the November general election can be met. One petition for Matt Orlando, and one for Martin Sepulveda.
We are looking at June 1 as our deadline to submit the required petition signatures, again, to make the November election date.
As I posted earlier, I haven't taken a position on the recall effort. I'm not the "throw the bums out" type. I am, however, strongly sympathetic in this case due to the outrageous conduct of Councilmen Sepulveda and Orlando.
